Happy Earth Day 2020! Celebrating 50 Years of Earth Appreciation

Since 1970, the observance of Earth Day has inspired people around the globe to create meaningful connections with the natural world and to take action to safeguard the planet.

The first Earth Day was organized on April 22, 1970 by Wisconsin senator Gaylord Nelson. The event was an instant success. CLCF has proudly hosted a number of volunteer activities during past Earth Days, but given the Safer at Home order currently in effect, CLCF will not be hosting an Earth Day event in 2020.

CLCF’s trails are open, and we invite you to get out on and enjoy the natural beauty of the Cedar Lakes region (while practicing social distancing guidelines).
